Movie review: The Crazies

The movie starts out rough, with Sheriff David Dutton getting forced to kill a man, Roy, who seems to be intoxicated in some way.
David and his wife Judy, a doctor, begin to notice strange behavior around the town; people are slow to respond questions, stares blankly at nothing and repeat their answers. One night a local farmer, Bill, burns his wife and son alive.

David and his deputy, Russell, investigate a dead soldier in the woods, and finds out that a crashed plane has been leaking a toxin into the town's water supply. People who are infected become aggressive, killing and attacking other people.

The town's people gets captured by soldiers and taken to the high school, which works as a temporary military facility. People are getting checked for fevers, and an alert goes off, so she is taken away to be quarantined. She tries to explain to the soldiers that she is pregnant, and that is why she's having a fever, but the soldiers ignore and sedates her.

Judy wakes up, strapped to a gurney. The soldiers are fleeing the high school to get evacuated, as the high school's perimeter is breached by infected people. They leave Judy alone, in a room full of infected, David unable to find her and a man with a pitchfork coming closer…

I went into the cinema without any expectations, and left with a lot to think about. It is definitely a horror movie, and it gave me a lot of good scares. And I'm also very into the whole "biological weapon conspiracy theories"-thing, which is a huge part of this movie.

It's a remake of a 1973-movie, and I’m currently trying to find a Danish onlinestore I can order it from.

If you're into horror movies, I would definitely recommend it. If you're not; don't see it. It's very gory, tough and most of all; scary as hell.

Metro Station

1 year ago, I went to a concert. A concert that simply changed my life; a concert with Metro Station. Why it changed my life?

I met them. I had won meet&greet, and meeting one of my favorite band was amazing. They're all so cool and sweet, and especially Trace. We got told that we weren't allowed to grab the guys or anything, but Trace took my hand and shook it. He said to most of the girls: "Hey beautiful," but not me. He looked me up and down, then into my eyes and said:

"Hey babe. You look gorgeous."

It's pretty easy to see that I have/had a big crush on him, huh?

Metro Station and I.

Seeing that photograph really brings me back. I remember how they all giggled, because my camera wouldn't take the picture and Mason said: "What's happening?"
Trace and I look like shit, because I grabbed his ass. He asked for another photo, but we didn't have any time.

I miss that day. I miss the band, their music, waiting for them with fans around the country who came to see them. I hope that Trace will come to Denmark with his new "band", Ashland High. If he does; I'll be there.

Today's outfit

Pants from Mango - 26€
Tee from New Yorker - 20€
Shoes from Kvickly - 10.66€
Scarf - My mom's

I know, I know.
Red shoes + red pants = no go. But I just wanted to wear my new shoes, because I love them so much! They aren't real All Stars, of course, but they are still really cool and I don't really care if they are real or not. I love them anyways.

There's not much to say about the outfit, other than I love all items.

Fashion & Physics

Kelly Osbourne.

This girl is definitely one of my fashion icons. I love how she mixes old fashioned vintage (which I love) with new and modern clothes. Her style is just so odd and adorable, I mean look at the pictures.

Lingerie and secretary-look? Big bow and a Flintstones inspired dress? Flowered dress, bowling shoes and a suit jacket. Leather jacket and a flowered dress?

Yes, yes, yes and yes!

Her sense of fashion is simply amazing, and I would love to wear outfit like hers; I just don't think it would look good on me, since I'm a skinny ass bitch. Plus, with my economy I can't afford fancy vintage dresses.

_____

Well, today I had my first oral test. It was in social studies and I got 4, which is an "okay" grade, I guess. My oral tests doesn't count, though, since I have social studies on a B-level (which is middle), so I have it for two years. So I have a whole year to get better. I don't know why we do those oral tests, when it doesn't count. Guess Denmark's school system is just fucked.

On Thursday I have my second oral test, in English. I'm good at English and have it on the highest level (A – three years), so I should nail that one. And next Monday I have my exam in physics. I hate physics, but I just hope to do well. I first started studying today, and… Well, our exam goes like this:

We pick a little piece of paper with a number on it. That number matches a question. We usually get a little preparation time to do some notes, and then we have to go in to our teacher and a censor and answer the question.

Our teacher have given us the questions, so we can prepare and there's 12 questions. I did two today, and I'm going to do three or two tomorrow. And it's not easy questions. They are TOUGH! Like, the first question is:

"Explain atomic structure. Include the transformation of atomic nuclei (alpha-, beta- and gamma-radiation).
In addition, include atoms, molecular compounds, ionic compounds, atomic shells, orbitals and The Periodic Table."

Yeah, it's pretty confusing. But I'll survive; after that exam, I won't have to look at physics ever again! YAY!

Me, with my physics book.

Onch baby

Most of my friends know that I love Paris Hilton, but something not many know is that I love her "Pet for Life" even more.
Onch! <3

He is such an odd personality and that's something that I really adore.

The other day I tweeted something about I wanted a friend of mine to accepted to RG (my high school), so I could be Paris and he could be Onch. This Thursday I opened up my Tweetdeck and guess what I saw in my mentions:

I squealed for I don't know how long, I just love him so much!

I've tried something similar a couple of times before; Matthew Lush both tweeted me and answered me on MySpace, Mini from Blowsight answered me on MySpace and Swiftkaratechop tweeted me.

Music videos

Today Lady Gaga's new musicvideo for "Alejandro" premiered. I have to say, that I was a bit disappointed. I liked one scene in the video, and I thought it was a big mess that played way too much on sex, which is sad. Lady Gaga is better than "sex sells".

I thought that Stephen Klein could do as good as Jonas Åkerlund, but clearly he couldn't. Jonas Åkerlund is one of my favorite music video directors, alongside Hype Williams, Melina Matsoukas and such. Those three have made the best music videos of all time, just take a look on these videos...

Pink - Sober (Jonas Åkerlund)

Lady Gaga - Paparazzi (Jonas Åkerlund)

Mika - We Are Golden (Jonas Åkerlund)

Kanye West ft. Jamie Foxx - Gold Digger (Hype Williams)

Kanye West - Heartless (Hype Williams)

Jay-Z ft. Alicia Keys - Empire State of Mind (Hype Williams)

Katy Perry - Thinking of You (Melina Matsoukas)

Rihanna - Rude Boy (Melina Matsoukas)

Beyoncé - Why Don't You Love Me (Melina Matsoukas)

Summertime!

Danish summerdish.

It's summertime, dude!

We had the best weather Friday, Saturday and Sunday, it's so great! Yesterday it was raining and today is not that warm, but it's not going to keep me from eating strawberries and wearing hotpants! I really love summer, it's probably my favorite season, and I can't wait to go out and have fun in the sun – cheesy, but still true.

I've already told you about some of my plans this summer, but I have some new ones; I'm probably going to Midsummer's Eve in Glumsø, it used to be a lot of fun when I was younger, but since I moved to Ringsted I haven't gone in a couple of years. This way I'll be able to see some of my old "friends" and Mick, a friend of mine. And Thea of course!

Thea also told Ida and me that she would talk with her dad, about us staying at his place this summer. Thea and I did in 2008, and it was really fun. We're going to stay in a very small mobile home, like last time, and it's actually okay, even though I'm not into that type of vacation.

Besides that I'm hoping to go to some concerts, maybe even on Ophelia Beach again if some great artists are coming. I've looked on their website, but they haven't added any new ones yet, but I'll be checking a couple of times every week.

I'm also a free bitch

Friday I went to Copenhagen with Thea and Ida, because we had to see Ginger Ninja on Ophelia Beach. We just went up and down Strøget (a big, long street with a lot of shops, side roads and such), and because I was wearing a long, tight and BLACK shirt I wanted to buy something that wasn't as warm - the heat in Copenhagen... Oh my God! I was about the die, it was way too hot!
But we went into the big New Yorker and I saw they had a lot of Lady Gaga tees! I immediately fell in love with one that had a big black and white picture of her, with gold letters that said: "I'M A FREE BITCH". It was so cool and so cheap, only 150DKK, so of course I bought it!

Lady Gaga t-shirt from New Yorker - 20€

The rest of the Friday was really great! We saw Ginger Ninja on Ophelia Beach, and it was a chilled and laid back concert (not going to make a CONCERT-post). Afterwards we went back to Strøget, but we walked by the D'angletere hotel, where people were waiting for Whitney Houston. So of course we stopped and saw her get out.

Then we went and bought China boxes and ate them in King's Garden, while drinking a little booze. We called Mick because we knew he was there, and he came and talked with us. So nice, seeing him again! We both wore Lady Gaga tees, actually. Afterwards we went to meet some of his friends, at the "emo corner" of King's Garden. We had avoided the place and the people, but it was nice meeting some friends and friendly people.

Then we went to Palads (a big cinema near Tivoli) and saw Sex and the City 2. I haven't seen the first movie, but I love the show so much and I think I've seen all episodes. I can really recommend the movie, so if you've been thinking about watching it, go do it.

We slept at Ida's place, and today we just relaxed in her garden, went to a park nearby and talked. I came home a couple of hours ago, even though I wanted to stay longer, because I have to work from 10AM until 5PM tomorrow. 7 hours of work = 455DKK. I'm saving up for mine and Thea's trip to Germany this July, and with all the shifts I'm taking I will have about 1300DKK when we go. More if I take some extra shifts! Plus, my birthday is in 5 days and all I've wished for is money.
